Antigen: IgM Monoclonal Designation: CM7. Ig Isotype/subclass plus light chain: IgG1 kappa. Specific reactivity: IgM heavy chain Fc5u specific. Equal IgM specific reactivity against IgM of: Human; Monkey (Rhesus and Marmoset, i.e. both Old and New World monkeys); Horse; Cat; Dog; Pig). Properties: Western blot: using reducing gels this MAb gives band a major band at 75kD against IgM from the species listed above, but does not react with pure IgA; IgG or light chain. Will bind specifically immune IgM in Western blots when acting as an IgM probe ELISA: Excellent probe. Affinity Chromatography: Can be cross-linked to Sepharose-4B to provide an affinity column to isolate IgM, but not as effective as MAb CM6E for this application. Immunofluoresence: Unknown. Immunohistocytochemistry: Unknown. FACS Analysis: Binds IgM producing B-cells only. Independently evaluated on horse B-cells as excellent reagent (ref 4 below). Preparation and supply: SpA purified from tissue culture supernatant and supplied in PBS pH 7.2 with 0.05% sodium azide as preservative. Biotin conjugated MAb also usually available. Pricing: $(US)425.00 per mg SpA purified; $(US)495.00 per mg SpA purified and biotin conjugated. Minimum order 1.0 mg. MAb CM7 References: 1. Reubel G. H., George J. W., Barlough J.
