Antigen: IgA

Monoclonal Designation: IgA5-3B

Ig Isotype/subclass plus light chain: IgG2B lambda.

Specific reactivity: IgA alpha chain specific against human; rhesus; marmoset; cat; dog; some IgA specific activity against horse, and pig. Negative against IgM and IgG.

Properties:

Western blot: in reducing gels this MAb gives band a major band at 55kD against IgA using purified cat IgA. Will bind specifically immune IgA in Western blots when acting as an antigen specific IgA probe.

ELISA: Excellent capture or probe. As biotinylated probe with IgA9-6A as capture the sandwich will detect IgA in serum or secreted in cat saliva.

Affinity Chromatography: Can be cross-linked to Sepharose-4B to provide a good affinity column to isolate IgA, this column will also function to isolate IgA from serum from man; rhesus and marmoset; dog; pig, and horse.

Immunofluoresence: Not known.

Immunohistocytochemistry: Excellent to specifically detect IgA secreting cells in cryostat sections.

FACS Analysis: Not known.

Preparation and supply: SpA purified from tissue culture supernatant and supplied in PBS pH 7.2 with 0.05% sodium azide as preservative. Biotin conjugated MAb also usually available. Pricing: $(US)425.00 per mg SpA purified; $(US)495.00 per mg SpA purified and biotin conjugated. Minimum order 1.0 mg.
