Antigen: IgA

Monoclonal Designation: CDA2-43A1.

Ig Isotype/subclass plus light chain: IgG2A kappa.

Specific reactivity: Cat IgA alpha chain specific. IgA specific reactivity against Cat, with weak cross-reactivity on Dog IgA.

Properties:

Western blot: using reducing gels this MAb gives band a major band at 55 kD against IgA using purified cat IgA, but does not react with pure cat IgM; IgG or light chain. Will bind specifically immune IgA in Western blots when acting as an antigen specific IgA probe.

ELISA: Excellent probe. Good capture with itself or IgA5-5B; IgA9-6A; FIG2-6A,or DA2-16.

Affinity Chromatography: Can be cross-linked to Sepharose-4B to provide an affinity column to isolate IgA, but not as effective as MAb IgA5-3B for this application.

Immunofluoresence: Unknown.

Immunohistocytochemistry: Unknown.

FACS Analysis: Not known.

Preparation and supply: SpA purified from tissue culture supernatant and supplied in PBS pH 7.2 with 0.05% sodium azide as preservative. Biotin conjugated MAb also usually available. Pricing: $(US)425.00 per mg SpA purified; $(US)495.00 per mg SpA purified and biotin conjugated. Minimum order 1.0 mg.
