Specific reactivity and cross-reactivity: Specifically reacts with human, monkey (rhesus and marmoset), cat, dog, and pig IgA. Human IgA1>human IgA2, but does react with both subclasses. Negative against cat or dog IgM and IgG.

Western blot: Does not Western blot under reducing conditions, therefore likely to be directed to a conserved conformational epitope of IgA.
