Antigen: Canine; Feline; Horse; Marmoset IgG Monoclonal Designation: FDG1-29 (updated 11/22/99) Ig Isotype/subclass plus light chain: IgG2B kappa Specific reactivity: Dog; Cat; Horse, and Marmoset IgG, no activity against IgM or IgA of these species. Other comments: FDG1-29 is useful to detect the antigen activity of IgG as it binds to IgG which is already bound to a specific antigen. It is therefore unlikely to be binding an epitope of IgG (heavy chain) close to the hinge reigon. This MAb does not appear to bind most subclasses of IgG, and research continues to determine the percise IgG subclass specificity of this MAb. Properties: Western Blot: using reduced gels this MAb gives band a major band at 50.0 kD against feline or canine IgG only. ELISA: Excelent probe for antigen specific cat or dog IgG Neutralization: not applicable. Affinity Chromatography: Not known Immunoflouresence: Unknown Immunohistocytochemestry: Positive, but results need confirmation. FACS Analysis: Not known Preparation and supply: SpA purified from tissue culture supernatant and supplied in PBS pH 7.2 with 0.05% sodium azide as preervative.
