Antigen: Canine/Feline Parvovirus (Feline Panleucopenia Virus)

Monoclonal Designation: CPV1-2A1. (information updated 10/3/99).

Ig Isotype/subclass plus light chain: IgG2A kappa.

Specific reactivity and cross-reactivity: Positive against Canine and Feline Parvovirus (Feline Panleucopenia Virus)

Negative against Canine Adenovirus (type2); Canine Coronavirus; Canine Distemper Virus, Canine Parinfluenza Virus.

Properties:

Western blot: gives weak specific bands at 153; 100; 41, and 15 kD in reducing gels with CPV as antigen.

ELISA: Good ELISA probe with polyclonal anti-CPV immune IgG as capture.

Virus neutralization: not known.

Affinity Chromatography: not known.

Immunofluoresence: Positive against CPV.

Immunohistocytochemistry: Excellent for use on paraffin embedded tissues of dogs and cats, appears also to specifically bind parvovirus in tissues of larger cats (positive result obtained on lynx).

FACS Analysis: not known.

Preparation and supply: SpA purified from tissue culture supernatant and supplied in PBS pH 7.2 with 0.05% sodium azide as preservative. Biotin conjugated MAb also usually available.
