Ig Isotype/subclass plus light chain: IgG1 kappa.

Specific antigen reactivity: FIV gp 120 env.

MAb is directed to a gp120 epitope, cross-reactive with Petaluma; 34TF10; Ppr; MCH5-5 (Seattle 5), and Glasgow 8 isolates.

Negative against Feline Leukemia Virus; Feline Herpes Virus type 1; Feline Coronavirus and Feline Calicivirus.

Properties:

Western blot: in reducing gels, and using ultracentrifuge precipitated FIV, this MAb gives a band at gp120 kD.

ELISA: Excellent probe, recognizes Petaluma; Ppr, Seattle 5 and Glasgow 8 isolates.

FIV neutralization: Weak or negative.

Affinity Chromatography: Not known.

Immunofluoresence: Positive.

Immunohistocytochemistry: Not known.

FACS Analysis: Positive. .

Preparation and supply: SpA purified from tissue culture supernatant and supplied in PBS pH 7.2 with 0.05% sodium azide as preservative. Biotin conjugated MAb also usually available.
