Ig Isotype/subclass plus light chain: IgG1 kappa

Specific antigen reactivity: FIVp24 gag specific. MAb is directed to a p24 epitope distinct from the immunodominant p24 epitope bound by MAb PAK3-2C1. MAb is negative if tested against Feline Leukemia Virus; Feline Herpes Virus type 1; Feline Coronavirus and Feline Calicivirus.

Properties:

Western blot: in reducing gels, and using ultracentrifuge precipitated FIV, this MAb gives a dominant and FIV specific band at about 24 kD.

ELISA: Superb capture when used with PAK3-2C1-biotin conjugated monoclonal anti-p24 probe, e.g. to provide a quantitative ELISA to titrate FIV p24 production from cultured FIV infected cat lymphocytes.

FIV neutralization: Probably negative.

Affinity Chromatography: Not known.

Immunofluoresence: Positive?

Immunohistocytochemistry: Not known.

FACS Analysis: Positive?
