Antigen: Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) gp85/gp70 envelope. Monoclonal Designation: C1G10 (Following information updated 7/21/01). Ig Isotype/subclass plus light chain: IgG2A kappa Properties: Western blot: not a good reagent in reducing gels, probably because the MAb binds to a conformational epitope (C1G10 binds FeLV gp70 subgroup B or C and hence blocks virus binding to the appropriate cell membrane receptor). Nevertheless, C1G10 will give weak bands at 85 and 70 kD with high concentrations of FeLV subgroup B or C envelope. ELISA: Excellent probe with goat anti-gp70 capture. FeLV neutralization: Specifically neutralizes FeLV subgroups B and C equally. Affinity Chromatography: Can be cross-linked to Sepharose-4B to provide an affinity column to isolate FeLV gp70 (this gp70 is assumed to be subgroup B/C specific). Immunofluoresence: Positive Immunohistocytochemistry: Not known. Immunoprecipitation: Not known. FACS Analysis: Positive. Preparation and supply: SpA purified from tissue culture supernatant and supplied in PBS pH 7.2 with 0.05% sodium azide as preservative. Biotin conjugated MAb also usually available. Pricing: $(US)425.00 per mg SpA purified; $(US)495.00 per mg SpA purified and biotin conjugated. Minimum order 1.0 mg. MAb C1G10 References: 1) Grant C. K., Ernisse B. J., Jarrett O., Jones F. R.
